Ok, you might be on Windows XP and looking for some Windows 7 Cursors for XP. If you do, you might want to grab the following cursors and install them on XP. Luckily, most cursors are compatible with Windows Vista, Windows XP and Windows 7. If you already know how to install cursors on XP, you will also know how to install cursors on Vista and 7.

1. Download Windows 7 Aero Cursors

The Windows 7 cursors are the same cursors that you will find on Windows Vista! They are called Aero cursors:

2. Install Windows 7 Cursors on XP

• Extract the ZIP archive to a folder on your drive.
• Right click the “Install.inf” file, click on “Install”
• Next, choose the cursors in the control panel: “Mouse”
• The cursors are listed as “Aero Cursors (Alphablended)” in the dropdown field

Installing cursors without a INF file:

To install the cursors on XP, you will simply open up the control panel, click on “Mouse” and go to the tab “Mouse Pointers”.
Note that this can be slightly different in XP, but it will be very similar.
There you will find all of the current XP cursors. Then for each cursor click on “Browse” and find the cursors that you downloaded from here. Apply each of them individually!

Keep in mind that Windows 7 is the successor of Windows Vista and both share the same technology (kernel) and they also share many other things, e.g. all of the cursors are the same.
